Put a little spice in your life

Sometimes, it’s nice just to WIN something, right?  Even if its a random thing and not by merit, there is an amazing amount of fun in just being that “lucky” person.

It’s even better when you win something worth taking home!

Tony Chachere’s profile on Facebook is giving away various items randomly to those who follow the directions and send in the email.  Today’s give-away?  A container of Original, More Spice, and Spice N Herb. I haven’t tried the Spice N Herb…I’m a huge More Spice fan, but I regularly use More Spice AND the Original in my recipes.

So if you too have a Facebook account, and have not become a fan of Tony Chachere’s…maybe you better just go do that today.  From their page on Facebook, today isn’t the only give away that they’ll have either, so beyond today, you still have a chance to get in on the fun…and who knows.  You just might be that lucky winner!

In the meantime, here’s my favorite Gulf Coast-style breading for pork chops (or even just chunks of pork!)

Gulf Coast Style Pork Breading

  • 2/3 c. paprika
  • 2/3 c. corn flour
  • 1/4 c. Tony Chachere’s More Spice Seasoning

Combine ingredients in shallow tray.  Dip pork chops or pork chunks in buttermilk or an egg wash, then coat completely with breading mixture.  Fry in hot fat until done.
